Ok, I messed up. Calvin suddenly woke up screaming so I went up to hold him. Now he won’t go back to sleep and he only slept 30 min.

The books were in such bad shape I was just going to throw them away but I realized Calvin would have immense fun with them.

Sounds like Calvin had a pretty good day in daycare. They even managed to get him to sleep for 1/2 hr.

Calvin is making a zoo out of Legos.

Here’s Calvin zoo. It contains an elephant, a zebra, a giraffe, and a tree for the giraffe.
On a table sits a green lego baseboard. On the baseboard are blocky legos put together in very rough approximation of animals. The blue legos are an elephant, the black and white legos are a zebra, the yellow legos are a giraffe, and then the tree is made with brown legos for the trunk and green for the leaves.

I have made my first new home purchase: Nest Protect smoke detectors because I’m still traumatized by the smoke alarms going off randomly in our SF house.
