Just got back from Calvin’s 1 yr appt. He weighs 22 lbs 1 oz, has a length of 30 inches and a head circumference of 46 1/2 cm.

We’re starting Calvin’s birthday with chocolate waffles.
Calvin and Julian sit at the dining room table. Calvin is dressed in minecraft pajamas and has ruffled hair. He is using his fork to cut off a piece of chocolate waffle with whipped cream and strawberries sprinkled on top of the whip cream. Julian is sitting to the picture's left looking at the camear.

I did not have enough birthday paper for Julian’s present but the Costco Christmas pack from 10 years ago is still going strong.

Nana just called my phone to wish Calvin happy birthday. I hand Calvin my phone and he looks at it in complete confusion. I have to explain it’s a regular phone call, not a video call, and he has to put it up to his ear to hear her.
