We’re taking Calvin to the park but he’s due for a nap so he’s currently screaming.

Calvin slept the entire night without waking up! Guess it’s just camping that makes him scream non-stop in the middle of the night.

Calvin is eating Okra stew with rice but has rejected the plantains (probably too spicy).

Just spent 1/2 hr watching construction trucks pave a parking lot. Calvin was entranced.

Calvin’s school called yesterday and said he was throwing up and had a fever and couldn’t come to school today.

I took his temp when I got home, he hadn’t had any medicine, and it was 99.3. I repeated just to make sure. He also threw up exactly once, right after lunch, and has been fine since. I don’t think he’s sick.

On the other hand, he doesn’t get out of school till June 27 so it’s probably not a horrible thing to have a day off from school.

Since Julian isn’t around I have introduced him to the joys of the rooftop deck with instructions that he is not to try rappelling off the roof.

Julian is playing some sort of game that involves his REI ultralight camping chair, an orange ball, and a fly swatter. (I believe the camping chair is being used as a goal.)
