Headed to Indian River Waterfall, assuming I walk fast enough.
Trail sign. It says Sitka Cross Trail City and Borough of Sitka. Next to the straight ahead arrow it says: Yaw Drive 26 miles, Harbor Mt/Gavan Hill Trail 96 miles, Baranof St/Downtown Connector 1.24 miles, High School/Lake St 1.7 miles, Kimsham St. Ballfields 1.8 miles, Cascade Creek Rd 2.8 miles, Kramer Ave/Bernchlands 3.4 miles. Next to the arrow pointing to the right it says Indian River Waterfall 4.2 miles. Next to the arrow pointing to the left it says Indian River Road Trailhead .5 miles.

I’m back on board. I got absolutely soaked walking through the Salmon berry thickets. By the time I got back almost everything was dry except my wool socks which were still squishy wet.

I’m eating hot tomato soup for afternoon snack and then am going to sit in the hot tub and hope my muscles don’t protest too much tomorrow. I think I ended up walking around 12 miles today.
