Both 5 and Calvin dashed towards the busy main road at the same time. I picked up 5 under one arm and Calvin under the other.

We’re at Matthews Beach Park today. There’s a swimming area but Calvin doesn’t like the water plants and Julian seems dubious about the whole concept of water. So they’re mainly playing with sand.
A sandy beach full of people. Jaeger and Julian are squatting down on the sand with their backs to the camera looking out onto the lake. Julian is wearing a brightly colored life jacket.

Well, I stepped wrong and now apparently have a 5th metatarsal fracture (at least, I’m pretty sure that’s what they said). I get a boot and crutches.

Ummm, not sure. They scheduled a podiatry appointment but the earliest they could get me in was on the 11th. Overall, it’s a pretty minor break though, I think.
