Calvin slept in today till 7.

Kiesa @spreadsheetmom Aug 14, 2009 10:00 AM
It was overcast on our walk today so Calvin didn’t need to be shielded from the sun and got to examine his surroundings better.

Kiesa @spreadsheetmom Aug 14, 2009 10:00 AM
However, it was still warm and muggy so I was a little overdressed in pants.

Kiesa @spreadsheetmom Aug 14, 2009 3:46 PM
I’m attempting to go down from 3 pumps/day to 2. We’ll see how this goes. Hopefully no mastitis relapses.

Kiesa @spreadsheetmom Aug 14, 2009 5:37 PM
Calvin hasn’t napped since 2pm. I’m afraid he won’t be awake enough for his bath tonight but he doesn’t appear tired at the moment.

It’s actually cooler outside than inside this morning.

Kiesa @spreadsheetmom Aug 14, 2010 8:41 AM
Now that Calvin has figured out how to say “no,” I need to stop making my statements sound like questions.

Calvin is still sleeping.

I want an app that lets kids drag letters together and when they magically make a real word, it’ll say it.

I now know why I bought the video camera monitor. I had a flag in my brain saying I wanted one but I wasn’t sure why.

Kiesa @spreadsheetmom Aug 14, 2015 8:31 AM
Calvin literally said this as he turned on the baby monitor. Not that we needed it on to hear the shrieks.

Dear @recordedbooks, my son is voracious. I need a way to filter out short books, not long books. #oneclickdigital

Ok, it turns out water efficient appliances do make a difference. We’re using 1/3 again as much water here in SF as we did in Boulder.

Kiesa @spreadsheetmom Aug 14, 2016 1:56 PM
This is not something I had accounted for in the rent vs buy costs.

Today I tried Rambutan. It was pretty interesting. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Rambutan

I think I just need to accept that I can’t pick up the house while Julian is awake.

Julian has figured out how to sleep in the backpack.

The sea does not smell correct here. Presumably because there’s not enough salt in the water.

Helsinki’s stroller friendly mass transit is amazing. Coming from San Francisco I am very, very jealous.

Kiesa @spreadsheetmom Aug 14, 2017 7:42 PM
Also! More than one elevator per station!

Kiesa @spreadsheetmom Aug 14, 2017 7:44 PM
Some stairs also have stroller ramps.

The universe has decided that we’re not allowed to sell a house without something going wrong with the utilities.

Kiesa @spreadsheetmom Aug 14, 2018 12:41 9:32 PM
Nothing major but there’s a scheduled electric outage on Thursday (first day on the market) and there was an unscheduled one today.

Kiesa @spreadsheetmom Aug 14, 2018 5:20 PM
It appears that Calvin managed to crash his bike into a stinging nettle bush. At least, I’m hoping it’s stinging nettle.

Hm, apparently one of my credit cards requires me to call them to put on a travel notification. I guess that cards not coming with me.

I sneaked a look at the Zoom rules Calvin jotted down from his classroom. I see that “No pets.” is one of the rules. That just seems mean.
