Calvinsdad believes that Calvin has been waving his arms more wildly this week. I’m having trouble seeing incremental changes.
Kiesa @spreadsheetmom Aug 12, 2009 8:28 AM
Putting sunscreen on Calvin is always an interesting experience. Particularly when trying to put it on his face.
Kiesa @spreadsheetmom Aug 12, 2009 9:39 AM
Calvin has the sweetest smile when he’s sleeping.

Grrr. I just answered a spam call because it was a blocked number and my mom is the only one with a blocked number that calls me.

I woke up early enough to lift weights this morning. I feel so productive :)
Kiesa @spreadsheetmom Aug 12, 2010 7:06 AM
Calvin keeps moving around in his crib but every time I check, he’s still sleeping.
Kiesa @spreadsheetmom Aug 12, 2010 3:22 PM
From daycare: “Calvin had fun playing in the tree house outside today!”
Kiesa @spreadsheetmom Aug 12, 2010 3:38 PM
We’re off to the little kid park.
Kiesa @spreadsheetmom Aug 12, 2010 5:37 PM
I met a women at the park today who was on bed rest during her pregnancy from week 13 on.

I think all I need is goat and sheep milk to make my dairy collection in the fridge complete.
Kiesa @spreadsheetmom Aug 12, 2010 9:14 PM
Calvin actually went to sleep without crying tonight!
2013
Kiesa @spreadsheetmom Aug 12, 2013 7:26 AM
Asked Calvin to put placemats on the table. He told me he was thinking really hard about it (hoping for telekinesis?).
Kiesa @spreadsheetmom Aug 12, 2013 1:14 PM
Calvin is now talking his babysitter’s ear off.

I got a new tablet: https://kiesa.festing.org/wordpress/2014/08/12/new-tablet/ No doubt my readers are aghast that 1) it’s Windows and 2) it’s Intel.
[Note: This tablet actually still works. It’s currently mounted in my kitchen and is what I use to view recipes on. The portrait aspect ratio is a bit weird for reading an ebook but works surprisingly well for recipe websites. It did survive the upgrade to Windows 10 but I can’t imagine it will work with Windows 11 so I suppose I’m going to have to figure out if I can get Linux working on it.]

I think I’m going to take a box of chai with me to work tomorrow. If I’m awake enough to remember.

Ok, still hate DRM (with a passion) but @audible_com did actually have a live person get things working again which I do appreciate.

Water rockets are going to be launched soon!

Chick-fil-a taught me that “there’s always salad” isn’t actually a safe bet for a vegetarian. It’s been over a decade but the last time there the only option was to pick the chicken off the salad. (I asked, they said they couldn’t just leave it off.)
Kiesa @spreadsheetmom Aug 12, 2019 7:00 AM
I wonder if their new Mac & Cheese will be vegetarian. (Though, it probably still will be one of very few places on my list that I won’t eat at even if everyone else wants to.)

First day of school for Calvin and Julian tomorrow. I’m filled with trepidation.
Kiesa @spreadsheetmom Aug 13, 2020 8:37 AM
Oh wow, Julian’s kindergarten teacher is amazing. Very first thing she teaches the kids how to mute and unmute and then drills them.
Kiesa @spreadsheetmom Aug 13, 2020 8:47 AM
Julian is now better at muting than at least 50% of adults.
Kiesa @spreadsheetmom Aug 14, 2020 8:38 AM
Today Julian is learning hand signals to use on Zoom (Thumbs up, thumbs down, meet too).

Well, this fire situation has revealed a flaw in our planning. We have a plan when we have to evacuate immediately and when we have a 2 hour window. We do not have a plan for when the fire is close to us but no evacuation recommendation.
Kiesa @spreadsheetmom Aug 12, 2022 3:18 PM
Well, that didn’t take long. Julian has his first COVID-19 exposure notice of the school year.
