Context: One morning I was driving down to Mountain View and listening to the local Bollywood stations. There was an ad from a company that sold kitchen exhaust vents which proudly said they could handle more than delicately simmering soups.

Today’s adventures in online grocery shopping: I ordered 4 loose beets. I got 4 bunches of beets. So, I guess we’re having Asian pears and beets this week.

[Someone else responded with “One time Prime Now sent me a wrong order, among them are 4 16-OZ bottles of Apple cider vinegar and 4 packages of turkey slices. I felt a hint of guilt like I pried into somebody’s life.”]

I find it a little weird that no one else ever works on their computer during my commute. Possibly Caltrain is just different but the amount of time is about the same and more than 1/2 the people on the train would be working on their computers.

Julian is now automatically getting tested weekly for COVID-19 (Calvin is monthly since he is vaccinated). We get the results the day after and it’s so nice to see negative results. I really appreciate how the school/district/county is approaching this.
