I went to bed at 8:30 last night. It was _wonderful_.

Went to 1st service at church today. Calvin did pretty well but now only slept 1/2 hr on the way home and is refusing any more sleep.

Just made chocolate mint ice cream. Our first ice cream of the season.

Just finished my menu/grocery list for tomorrow.

2011

Calvin is still sleeping. I foresee no nap this afternoon.

Kiesa @spreadsheetmom Apr 10, 2011 2:51 PM
Not surprisingly given how late he slept, he hasn’t nap but did seem to enjoy some quiet time in his room.

2012

From daycare, “Calvin enjoyed building a castle with blocks!”

Kiesa @spreadsheetmom Apr 10, 2012 4:07 PM
Calvin helped me make macaroni & cheese, from scratch, today for supper.

2013

We’re having pumpkin waffles with ginger syrup for supper (can you tell @calvinsdad isn’t home?).

2016

Just got back from a walk to East Palo Park. Julian greatly enjoyed the slide.

Julian really likes tacos.
Baby Julian sits in a high chair with a bright yellow bib around his neck. On the high chair tray, his bib, and his face is food smears from tacos.

Yes, this is a very different housing market from 2012.

2020

My schedule for Calvin continues to evolve. This time I’ve added red for when he’s suppose to post on his online school site.
White board with writing in mostly green but some red marker. At the top, in green marker, it says Last day before Spring Break! and shows the date as 4/10/2020. Then follows a schedule: 9:00 - Reading (eyes, not ears -- reading to Julian Counts) in red writing it says Question about story. 10:00 - Videoconference. 11:00 - in red it says Is it a hot dog? 11:15 - free time. 12:00 - Exercise (weights or step). 12:30 - free time. 1:00 - Writing (journal) in red it says Where would you eat out if you could? 1:30 - Science (our planet). 2:30 - Math (tt rock star) in red it says Post what you did. 3:00 - Art (donuts!). 3:30 free time.

I have also told Calvin that he doesn’t have to work in the office. However, if he doesn’t want to be in the office, he needs to proactively come down at the start of each period to tell me he’s working. We’ll see how this goes . . .

[In response to asking what donut art is:]

Kiesa @spreadsheetmom Apr 11, 2020 7:38 AM
Drawing donuts. Not sure why.

Julian is now advocating everyone get their own Kindle so they can play Minecraft with him. (He also is quizzing is about our preferred color and profile pic). I don’t recall Calvin being this social around a Minecraft.

Julian says these flowers are “weird and pretty.”
A cluster of bright orange tulips in a front yard.

On my walk yesterday I saw mosaic tiles as a replacement for concrete and now I want some.
A cluster of 12 inch by 12 inch concrete paving stones with colorful mosaic patterns. Each tile is different but there are a lot of stars of different colors and some tree representations.

Willow does not seem to like the fancy new food I got her.
