The bassinet we’ve been using downstairs is only rated to 15 lbs and as @calvinsdad mentioned, Calvin in already 12lbs 8oz.

Yesterday, I was stopped in Lowe’s by someone who assumed I worked there and was confused when I told her I had no idea where the landscaping fabric was located.

So, I guess now I look competent enough in a home improvement store to pass as an employee.

At least with libraries I could usually could make educated guesses. At home improvement stores I’m wandering around lost until I stumble across what I need (having a slight fear of asking staff for help).

I’m looking at our new master bedroom closet and it’s definitely big enough to be an office.

I’m looking how much we’re spending on staying home and it’s terrifying: office chairs, fancy coffee grinders, takeout with higher than average tips, etc. The economy might not be doing well but it’s not our fault.

I’m listening to a book called House Lust which is about the US’ obsession with houses. It was published in 2008. He’s admiringly talking about interest rates for 30-year mortgages being below 7%. It’s astonishing when you look at mortgage rates today.

He’s also talking about people who got adjustable rate interest only loans for houses and wow does that bring back memories. I still remember when I sat down and read the loan papers after signing (because we hadn’t seen them prior to closing. Ahhh!) and realized what we signed.

I have ordered an office chair. Both Calvin and I need one, we’re currently using dining room chairs, but I’ve been procrastinating. I’ve ordered one for both of us to try out, I’m a little worried we’re too short. I’m crossing my fingers.
