Arrived in Longview a couple of hours ago. Have everything set up now so going to bed.

2010

I went to bed early and Calvin slept well so I feel mostly recovered from yesterday.

DRM is evil. I have no particular objections to the concept but every implementation I’ve seen is horribly broken (usually by design).

From daycare: “Calvin enjoyed shaking whipping cream to make butter today!”

Kiesa @spreadsheetmom Jun 15, 2010 5:34 PM
Calvin and I went to the park and I think I got sunburned.

Kiesa @spreadsheetmom Jun 15, 2010 5:37 PM
Calvin is enthralled with the cat carrier.

Kiesa @spreadsheetmom Jun 15, 2010 7:47 PM
Calvin can now climb up the playground equipment and slide down the slide by himself.

2011

Calvin just demanded that I sit down and watch Elmo with him (unfortunate since he only watches TV while I make supper).

From daycare: “Calvin liked shaking toys in buckets to make loud noises today! :)”

2014

Adara’s hard drive might be thinking about dying. She’s 7 years old so not overly surprising.

Kiesa @spreadsheetmom Jun 15, 2014 10:54 AM
Fortunately, we have regular backups of her if bad things happen. Losing Gnucash data would be really painful.

2015

Julian appears to indicate approval of Calvin’s shenanigans by flailing his arms enthusiastically.

Kiesa @spreadsheetmom Jun 15, 2015 8:47 PM
Every time I think of calling @calvinsdad Julian becomes fussy. It’s a conspiracy.

Kiesa @spreadsheetmom Jun 15, 2015 9:48 PM
That was hilarious. @calvinsdad asked Calvin about his day but Calvin deflected with insightful questions about @calvinsdad’s day.

2016

It makes a difference when you accidentally enter a $1500 charge twice . . .

I have no objection to former employers randomly giving us money but it’d be nice if an explanation was included.

Kiesa @spreadsheetmom Jun 15, 2016 3:20 PM
I have been promising “a timely response”. Should be interesting to see what is considered timely.

Kiesa @spreadsheetmom Jun 15, 2016 3:48 PM
Off to try an Asian grocery store. Hopefully they have what I need for supper.

Kiesa @spreadsheetmom Jun 15, 2016 4:45 PM
That was a wondrous place, though possibly bad for our budget.

Kiesa @spreadsheetmom Jun 15, 2016 4:46 PM
Also, we need a bigger fridge.

2018

Kiesa @spreadsheetmom Jun 15, 2018 5:05 PM
I just got into a fight with a garden hose and I think I lost.

Kiesa @spreadsheetmom Jun 15, 2018 6:07 PM
The garage is mostly packed and everything that isn’t is out in the open and pretty obvious (I hope).

2019

In retrospect, going to Ravenna Park the weekend of UW graduation was a terrible plan. However, I found a bus to take us back home before my phone completely dies!

Kiesa @spreadsheetmom Jun 15, 2019 4:42 PM
I was starting to get worried when busses kept passing us by at the temp bus stop. However, just as I resigned myself to walking home a bus stopped for us.

Kiesa @spreadsheetmom Jun 15, 2019 4:47 PM
Oh, I tried to get back right as commencement ended. That explains a few things.

2020

This COVID-19 pet adoption thing has clearly gotten out of control. On my walk today I saw three different dogs clearly being obedience trained.
