2010

Kiesa @spreadsheetmom Jan 21, 2010 6:58 AM
Calvin’s normal wakeup time these days seems to be 5:30 though I let him babble in bed till 6.

Kiesa @spreadsheetmom Jan 21, 2010 7:00 AM
He still has a mild amount of wheezing so I’m calling the Dr’s office when they open.

Kiesa @spreadsheetmom Jan 21, 2010 7:21 AM
Calvin just fed himself cheerios for the 1st time! (Amazing what I get excited over . . . )

Kiesa @spreadsheetmom Jan 21, 2010 7:23 AM
Of course, this means he is now capable of putting other small objects in his mouth.

Kiesa @spreadsheetmom Jan 21, 2010 8:43 AM
Calvin has a Dr appt for 11:15 today.

Kiesa @spreadsheetmom Jan 21, 2010 11:39 AM
Dr T thinks Calvin has a mild case of RSV. For now, just suppose to watch and call if it gets much worse.

Kiesa @spreadsheetmom Jan 21, 2010 11:40 AM
No daycare until Monday at the earliest.

Kiesa @spreadsheetmom Jan 21, 2010 12:10 PM
Calvin has on pajamas with feet but he keeps managing to get his feet free of the pajamas.

Kiesa @spreadsheetmom Jan 21, 2010 12:29 PM
Calvin seems to be enjoying Cuban Black Beans (minus the cayenne pepper).

Kiesa @spreadsheetmom Jan 21, 2010 12:30 PM
He also is having great fun throwing the sippy cup around and chewing on it. Though he hasn’t yet figured out there’s suppose to be liquid.

Kiesa @spreadsheetmom Jan 21, 2010 12:47 PM
Cut up teeny bits of banana and put it on Calvin’s highchair tray. He keeps trying to get them into his mouth but hasn’t yet, too slippery.

Kiesa @spreadsheetmom Jan 21, 2010 12:54 PM
I’m a little scared to ask where all the banana went. It’s not the floor and it’s not on his tray.

Kiesa @spreadsheetmom Jan 21, 2010 2:12 PM
Trying to convince Calvin to take an afternoon nap. He usually doesn’t at daycare but I figured it might be different in his own crib.

Kiesa @spreadsheetmom Jan 21, 2010 3:23 PM
He’s asleep! Now to go do some work.

Kiesa @spreadsheetmom Jan 21, 2010 4:11 PM
Calvin slept for a little longer than an hour. Not bad for an afternoon nap.

Kiesa @spreadsheetmom Jan 21, 2010 4:11 PM
Well, Bach still seems to calm Calvin down.

Kiesa @spreadsheetmom Jan 21, 2010 5:11 PM
Calvin may have actually gotten some finger-food style peas in his mouth.

Kiesa @spreadsheetmom Jan 21, 2010 7:47 PM
From Vegetarian Times, ” . . . the wakame gets mixed up in the kale, so picky eaters won’t even know it’s there.” Picky eaters eat kale?

2011

Kiesa @spreadsheetmom Jan 21, 2011 4:36 PM
Calvin is turning snack into a meal. He’s eaten about 6 oz broccoli, 1 oz cheese, and 6 oz blueberries.

2013

Kiesa @spreadsheetmom Jan 21, 2013 12:42 PM
I need some sort of tagging system so I know what trees I’ve already watered for the month.

Kiesa @spreadsheetmom Jan 21, 2013 2:47 PM
Calvin is prepared to go back outside dressed in his wet suit (he couldn’t stay away from the trees being watered).

2014

Kiesa @spreadsheetmom Jan 21, 2014 8:38 AM
That was weird, an old-fashioned trash truck just picked up our recycling. Complete with two men hanging on to the back.

Kiesa @spreadsheetmom Jan 21, 2014 3:11 PM
Oh look, it’s already time to start weeding.

2015

Yoda’s transmission is slowly dying but mechanic is of the opinion she has enough miles it’s not worth replacing.

Kiesa @spreadsheetmom Jan 21, 2015 4:08 PM
So, we’re going to see exactly how much more time we can get before she dies completely.

2016

Kiesa @spreadsheetmom Jan 21, 2016 5:38 PM
This week Julian is learning to self-soothe. He doesn’t seem to appreciate the opportunity.

Kiesa @spreadsheetmom Jan 21, 2016 5:45 PM
He might be asleep again . . . now, can I get back to sleep for a few minutes?

Kiesa @spreadsheetmom Jan 21, 2016 5:49 PM
Julian’s new hobby seems to be throwing things through the railing into the family room below.

Kiesa @spreadsheetmom Jan 21, 2016 5:50 PM
I see so many things in our house I want to clean that I’ll never have time to do.

Kiesa @spreadsheetmom Jan 21, 2016 8:05 PM
Why did I never put books on our mantle before? It just looks so cozy.

Kiesa @spreadsheetmom Jan 21, 2016 8:07 PM
Though, we’re going to have a problem trying to sell our house to anyone with bibliophobia. There’s only so far I can depersonalize.

Kiesa @spreadsheetmom Jan 21, 2016 8:18 PM
I always feel so rich whenever I look at all the lovely books we own.

2018

Kiesa @spreadsheetmom Jan 21, 2018 11:05 AM
We’re at the Wizard playground again, this time with sand toys!

Kiesa @spreadsheetmom Jan 21, 2018 3:30 PM
Calvin just asked me if, when cleaning his room, he also needs to pick up the trash on the floor. ???? My mind is blanking as to why trash would be an exception.

2019

Kiesa @spreadsheetmom Jan 21, 2019 8:30 AM
I know better than to ever stay up past my bedtime. Sure enough, Julian woke up multiple times crying last night :( At least I have the day off so it’s ok if my head is fuzzy today.

Kiesa @spreadsheetmom Jan 21, 2019 9:16 AM
I think I need an ELIZA program designed to reason with Century Link’s chat.

Kiesa @spreadsheetmom Jan 21, 2019 10:26 AM
Calvin is walking on the treadmill, in sunlight, in snow boots and a puffy vest. (He does have the auto shut-off cord clipped on.)

2022

Kiesa @spreadsheetmom Jan 21, 2022 11:25 AM
School COVID-19 update: On Monday Calvin received 4 exposure notifications. On Wednesday Julian received a exposure notification as well as a “substantial exposure notification.” This means that more than 50% of the school is exposed so they consider everyone exposed.

Kiesa @spreadsheetmom Jan 21, 2022 11:25 AM
Everyone is still in-person and the school has increased (PCR) testing frequency. So far, Julian/Calvin have consistently tested negative and have no symptoms. The only thing that’s really changed is their swimming lessons were canceled this week.

Kiesa @spreadsheetmom Jan 21, 2022 5:07 PM
Calvin has his booster shot!

Kiesa @spreadsheetmom Jan 21, 2022 6:27 PM

For swim lessons I got a “bath sheet” for the first kid to huddle under during the second lesson. Now that our family has seen it we all want one for everyday use.

(Apparently bath sheets are extra large towels. In this case, 40”x70”.)

Kiesa @spreadsheetmom Jan 21, 2022 8:11 PM
I have not actually tried one yet but they definitely feel like a good idea. I had to wrestle it away from Calvin so it could be washed. Not sure if a regular towel rack would work or not though.
