I made rhubarb cherry sorbet today: 12 oz rhubarb cooked in 2/3 cup water and 1 cup sugar. When soft, puree with 10 oz frozen (unsweetend) pie cherries and freeze in ice cream maker.

We’re at Matthews Beach Park today. There’s a swimming area but Calvin doesn’t like the water plants and Julian seems dubious about the whole concept of water. So they’re mainly playing with sand.

I’m back on board. I got absolutely soaked walking through the Salmon berry thickets. By the time I got back almost everything was dry except my wool socks which were still squishy wet.

I’m eating hot tomato soup for afternoon snack and then am going to sit in the hot tub and hope my muscles don’t protest too much tomorrow. I think I ended up walking around 12 miles today.
