Just weighted myself for the first time after birth. I’ve lost around 20 lbs and am now 16 lbs above prepregnancy weight.

Calvin is planning for zombies so we just had an impromptu discussion about the best offensive kitchen equipment. (Pictured: my small cast iron skillet. I think I’d go for the 10” skillet myself but it is quite heavy.)
Calvin stands in the kitchen holding a small skillet with both hands, somewhat like a bat for baseball.

I can’t tell if Calvin is just really board or is channeling his anxiety in odd ways. Maybe it’s both. I asked him what he wanted from the grocery store and he said shelf stable food. I told him that food was not going to be a problem for us.

I get home and discover Calvin and Julian have been testing out zombie barricades.
The entrance to the kitchen is barricaded with bar chairs and the lids from plastic bins.

Ah, I have clarification, Calvin was pretending that Julian was a zombie. (I told Julian that Zombies aren’t real and he said “I know” and went on to explain in more detail what they were doing.)

Calvin just told me he wants to buy his room so I can no longer make him clean it. I told him to measure it (real life math!) and we’re going to multiply by the price per square foot we paid. Possibly not entirely fair but probably instructive.
