We got one trick or treat group so far this year which is putting us ahead of SF, even with Boulder, and behind Ballard and Longmont. In our next house I want to live on a trick or treater street.

@calvinsdad We should ask for Halloween information in the disclosures.

(Also I wonder if we’d get more traffic with a big front-yard Halloween display.)

Well, that was an experience. Only about 1/3 of the lights were on in our neighborhood but there also weren’t a ton of kids so the houses we stopped at were desperate to get rid of their candy.

One person was literally shoving handfuls into the kid’s bags.

About 1/2 through my walk I found a free bookcase on the curb. I texted @calvinsdad and he agreed we definitely needed it. He brought the RAV4 and we, along with the homeowner who had appeared, hoisted it on the roof. It’s 7 ft tall!

After @calvinsdad picked it up, I continued on my walk. I ended up walking about 8.5 miles total. My mending broken bone feels fine. The rest of my feet and legs not so much.

Rio eventually came out from under the couch and spent most of the night “sleeping” with us in bed. Unfortunately, she has a cold and she sneezed on my face a couple of times

Rio is also the first cat I’ve had who likes tunneling under the blankets.
